Arcade Games – Going Back In Time

Being a true gamer, I was often found at the local arcade, checking out the latest fighting, shooting, and racing games. You could also find me at the video game stores, with my head in the clouds.

Back in the early 90s, a teenagers number one pastime was video games. My friends and I would battle each other in popular arcade games like Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat. I must have blown a fortune in quarters on those video game machines.

Things havent changed much since then. Customers spend almost as much on games as they did back then and it was never a good story. People flinch at the accumulated amount, laugh it off in denial, and then trek home, feeling ripped off. They dont understand how the amount came out to so much and wonder if they can get their money back.

The undeniable truth is that arcade and video game systems are as addictive now as when they first came out. The big difference is that the systems are now available for home use and the technology behind the systems have advanced far beyond anything else.

These systems are so popular now that even kids are trying to save up money to buy them. The most popular systems include Playstation, Nintendo Game Cube, and Xbox.

Being able to receive a gaming system of their own on their birthday or at Christmas is easy, so why would kids go to local arcades to spend their money on video games? Modern versions of personal video games are fairly inexpensive and the majority of kids can possess portable versions like the Gameboy Advance Sp. Personal video games are more fun and exciting thanks to the advancements in gaming.

During my childhood and teenage years these games seem prehistoric when they compared to present daYS. The Owned my first system while I was in elementary school. After that, video games systems evolved into Nintendo.

As ancient as these games seem, they are the keystone to the advancement of video games and systems available today. Video systems are looking to a brighter future through growth and ingenuity and will be just as exciting as ever. So take a look around you and notice the evolution of games, models, and accessories available to the general population.
