I remember that in mid 1980, my neighbor had one of the first PC. We played a very primitive "prison escape Nazi camp "game I can not remember the title. Anyway, I was fascinated by the game and wished I could spend hours every day play the neighbor of the match. Moving with the neighbor is not an option, and we had no computer at home.
My playing days were Waiting for several years, as I was busy going to college and then graduate. But my love for computer games remained alive in the arcades of the dollar and with friends. I finally got my own "real" PC in 1994. I had a voracious appetite for gaming PC especially RPGs. Baldur's Gate was my all time favorite.
The world of computer gaming has remained a mystery to me, though, because I had no idea how the games were designed or how they actually worked. Over time, I learned a basic understanding of how computers work steadily improving my PC so that it is compatible with versions of the game later. I often thought how it would be fun to design and test computer games for software companies. Alas, my degree was in political science and not computer science. So I continued to play happily my computer games and working as a political scientist.
Today, Anyone can become a tester computer game or work for gaming companies testing. This does not mean that we should not get a college or a technical course. But it is not absolutely necessary. PC, console and Internet gaming has exploded in recent years a multi-billion dollars. Companies are not willing to risk their brands without thorough testing games before their release. Thus, companies game testing clearly seeking computer games testers. Set of tests can be very methodical and sometimes very boring. After all, it the work of a "real". So, check it out. What can it hurt?
