What Warhammer 40,000 Space Marines Heavy Support option should I choose?
I currently collect Space Marines and have a solid 1000 the army. Currently, Devastator squads have heavy support option, but I would change a bit. I am 20 Terminators in my army and I would a good heavy support option that runs parallel with them. I'm considering the Thunderfire Cannon, Whirlwind, Predator Destructor and Land Raider Redeemer, but can not decide which to choose. Any suggestions?
How in heaven's name do not you get 20 terminators in an army of 1000 points? Not that it is not possible only … does not leave much tactical flexibility in the new edition, with the troops what they need options to claim objectives. However … … looking beyond This interesting piece of trivia, the obvious "support" for the election of a heavy army is a Terminator Land Raider or taken as a transport option. However, This means not deploy its terminators teleport, which does not detract from one of its more tactical, useful qualities: the ability to cover a lot of land in his initial movement. I personally recommend either a vindicator or a whirlwind. The new "direct fire" rules for the whirlwind that is much more useful on the ground open than it used to be. Moreover, the new template rules means that these weapons will always * something *, while still running a Predator three risk hitting anything at all with each shot. Vindicators, in my experience, are awesome (and I speak as someone who has been his victim on a regular basis). Vortexes are the advantage of the range and indirect fire, but nothing says "Welcome to the battlefield" to upset Hawks squad minced or deep striking Terminators Chaos Explosive Device explosion of a AP2 S10 template.
